“I felt confident to go out of the house with NO makeup on and I still felt beautiful”

Posted by Nouveau Admin on January 11, 2012

Renowned Blogger, Katie Snooks, gives a fantastic review following her Blink+Go Lashes treatment at Karen Betts Number 1 Harley Street, London.

“I am not blessed with beautiful, long, impressive eyelashes.  Mine are pretty non-existent until I whip out my mascara and apply a few coats, so I’ve always been interested in other ways of accentuating my lashes. After becoming a Glossy Box ambassador I received two tokens which allowed me to receive a HD Brows AND a Blink + Go Lash Extension treatment which I quickly booked up with excitement, so that I’d be transformed and gorgeous for the Christmas party season.

I visited the Karen Betts clinic in 1 Harley Street to film and document the whole process of HD Brows & Blink + Go extensions with Glossy Box, which will be online soon to watch.”

“The whole procedure takes around 20-30 minutes and is pretty straight forward! You and your consultant talk through the look you want to achieve with your lashes, whether it be subtle or striking.

I chose to have relatively natural looking lashes because I hardly ever wear falsies and thought it would be quite a leap to have full on false-looking lashes.

I love that you can hardly tell that they are false in the photographs (click here for photo’s) – they are attached so well and beautifully that they look so real!

What I think: I absolutely ADORED having my lashes and I miss them terribly now.  I felt confident to go out of the house with NO makeup on and I still felt beautiful – this was a pretty big deal to me who normally covers my eyes with eyeliner and eyeshadow in order to feel pretty and for once I didn’t need to do anything to ‘improve’ myself.

I will say now that I have never felt as vile looking as I did the minute they were removed, I literally felt bald, but you will get used to it.  I would have them again in a flash – but am giving my natural lashes a bit of a rest at the moment.  I am going to have them again very soon and think that the procedure would make a lovely gift as well!”.

Thanks Katie – fab, honest review!  See the review in full, with some amazing photo’s, by clicking here.

Looking good for the cameras

Posted by Nouveau Admin on December 13, 2011

If you’ve been watching “All About Amy”, you’ll know that Amy Childs has been setting up her own beauty salon.  I’ve been working with her on both the setting up of her salon and training her in some of the treatments she’ll be providing.  Needless to say, I’ve been caught on camera quite a lot in the last few weeks.  Whether it’s paparazzi or filming for the show, I’ve had to look my best.

With December fast moving on, all of us are going to be caught on camera – whether it’s at the work do, parties or family gatherings. And with that, I’m sure that – just like me – you’re going to want to look good in front of the cameras.  One of my top recommendations is to pay attention to your skin-tone.  Having a natural, healthy glow can transform how you look in front of the cameras, especially during the winter months.

For the show, I was lucky enough to get my hands on samples of Amy’s very own new tanning solution – it’s one of the perks of the job! Unlike a lot of tans, which can have a chemically smell when developing, Amy’s lotion smells nice –like strawberries and cream. Also, it’s right on-trend, as it’s been developed to provide a natural, sun-kissed look.

Whatever product you use, having a healthy, glowing skintone during the winter months will not only help you look better in front of the cameras, it can give you that extra touch of confidence too.
