An inspirational Campaign…

Caroline’s Campaign is the brainchild of campaigner and current ‘London Personality of The Year’ Caroline Monk. Caroline knows all too well, like many of Karen’s current patients, how devastating the effects of chemo are on a person’s physical appearance and confidence – this includes the loss of head hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. These symptoms serve as a constant reminder of the disease and can make coping with the illness very difficult. Caroline’s Campaigns see a number of deserving women pampered all over the country including Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and Leeds.

Karen Betts is a BUPA registered beautician renowned across the world for her expertise in semi-permanent makeup and medical tattooing. Karen’s passion and determination to change lives coincides and parallels with Caroline Monk’s fantastic cancer charity work. Karen can literally tattoo back on their confidence to the affected areas. Karen’s work is unprecedented in both the beauty and medical sector and is also the MD of the largest semi-permanent make-up training school in Europe, ‘Nouveau Contour’ which trains thousands of individuals in these specialised ‘micropigmentation’ skills and we hope that Karen’s expertise and skills continue to make a positive change to the confidence and lives of these women who have been affected by the disease.

On Monday 6th February 2012, as part of Caroline Monk’s Campaign Cancer Makeover for Valentine’s Day, Karen has offered her expertise to treat five cancer sufferers to cosmetically tattooed eyebrows which have been lost through chemotherapy.

This charity pamper day, sees Karen bringing her beauty team from the prestigious Harley Street to the Denise Lebar Hair-Loss and Beauty Boutique also in London.

The women will have a full day of pampering, before they will be taken to a London Hotel to join their families and showcase their new look. Celebrities and supporters of Caroline’s Campaign will also join in the celebrations to make the day extra special. Read more

Karen Betts, the No.1 permanent make-up beautician in the UK, is delighted to announce a new collaboration with The Katie Piper Foundation which will see her become their official and exclusive permanent make-up consultant for 2012.

Katie Piper and her Foundation are well known in the UK for their charitable work which aims to make life easier for people living with burns and scars. Katie’s ambition is to help others in their quest to feel confident again in spite of their scars; and strives to recommend and provide a network of the best treatments and technicians available for fellow survivors.

Thank you to all our fabulous trainers for attending the Nouveau Beauty Group 2012 ‘Train the Trainer’ event on the 8th/9th January.

Diane and Bridgette did a fantastic job and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time at our Yorkshire Academy. As a company we believe it’s extremely important to keep our Trainers information consistent and up to date, giving them a platform to promote their own ideas on how we can take our products and services forward. 2012 is a real year of growth for the group and our training is going from strength to strength – partly down to our dedicated team of trainers around the country.

The two days consisted of various activities and team building exercises including a three minute presentation from each trainer on either a Nouveau Lashes or LVL Lashes product, a ‘practical’ session working on our brand new ‘Flare Lash’ (more info available soon!) and some live demo’s working with various products and procedures.

Diane Plummer (Group & Training Manager) and Bridgette Softley (Director) gave in-depth presentations over the course of the two days with two of our successful trainers receiving awards;

Steven Douch wins the award for ‘Best Presentation’

Steven is a professional makeup artist and is one of our lead trainers in the area of Mineral Makeup.  With a background in special effects makeup and a freelance career spanning nine years, Steven is a real credit to the Nouveau Beauty Group Training team – congratulations on your award Steven, your presentation was a real success!

Michelle Kendall wins the award for ‘Best Team Player’

Michelle is an elite permanent makeup artist and master lash technician and, as well as running her own beauty salon in Ludlow, is one of our most valued trainers.  ”When I was starting out in permanent cosmetics I never thought for a minute I’d end up working alongside the Nouveau Beauty Group, but here I am and I’ve never been happier!”.  Congratulations on winning Best Team Player Michelle.

Following the event, everyone met for an evening meal at the Burntwood Hotel in Brierley.  Great place if you’re looking for quality food in this area.
