How to Create The Best Customer Experience

Posted by Nadia Burgess on January 3, 2017

P1000869Customer experience begins as soon as your client walks through your door. With this in mind, it’s vital for you to give them the very best experience. Not only will that give them the confidence that you’re a true professional but it will also give them plenty of ammo to spread the word amongst their friends and family, helping to build your brand awareness.

The experience starts from the first contact

Whether it’s a phone call, face to face meeting or a message via social media, keeping a professional yet friendly tone throughout your communications should be at the forefront of your mind. You want to remain personable so your client can approach you with any questions or concerns they have, but at the same time it’s key not to lose a professional touch. After all, you are performing an invasive procedure, so you should show clients that you are knowledgeable and they are in safe hands with you.

Explain the procedure clearly

As difficult as it may be, try to avoid jargon and technical talk when explaining the procedure to your client and any potential clients. This will keep the individual informed and manage their expectations of will be achieved during the treatment. During the consultation, you should also ignite two-way conversations and ask lots of open questions so you can decide on the perfect brow shape, lip colour or eyeliner treatment whilst making your client feel comfortable.

Give the client confidence

It goes without saying that your treatment room should be extremely clean and free from clutter, so we advise you to block out some time each day to give your space a thorough deep clean. When thinking about cleanliness, it’s a nice touch to show the client the brand-new needles when you get them out of the packaging so there is no doubt in their mind that you are using fresh needles for their treatment. Likewise, at the end of the treatment dispose of the needles straight away too.

Create the right atmosphere

Think about other factors too; have a variety of music on hand that can be tailored to the clients’ preferences to help them to relax. The last thing you want to do is unnerve a client, especially if it’s their first procedure, so make sure there are no distractions. Switch your phone off and ensure that there will be no one coming into your room during the treatment, your client needs to feel that they are your number 1 priority at all times. The less contact you have with other people or objects the smaller the chance of any cross-contamination risks too. Try not to talk about your personal life with a client too much, the appointment should be all about them and make them feel special.

A parting gift

After going through the aftercare instructions, why not give your client, old or new, a little parting gift? A branded gift bag containing their aftercare balm, instructions, your business card and a handwritten thank you note is a very nice touch which we have seen be highly effective with numerous artists. If you want to go the extra mile, you could even include some individually wrapped sweet treats, a makeup item or a mini set of toiletries. It won’t cost you much in comparison to the cost of the treatment so making a special effort will help you stand out and be remembered for all the right reasons. Plus, they are likely to share the photo on social media, giving you free increased exposure.

What do you like to do to give your clients the best experience? We’d love you to share your tips and tell us about the amazing things that you do so we can all learn from one another.

Karen Betts Launches K.B Pro Pigment Range

Posted by Sarah Gordon on July 28, 2015

Colours you can trust

The name Karen Betts is recognised as one of the leading and most dominant names in the Permanent Cosmetics Industry. But taking the industry by storm over the last 20 years; MD at Nouveau Beauty Group; one of the most reputable beauty groups in the UK and also responsible for HD Brows and Nouveau Lashes, launching Nouveau Contour – the UK’s most reputable Permanent Cosmetics Training academies,  collaborating with the Katie Piper Foundation, winning several industry awards which include the ‘Industry Leader Award 2015’ and ‘Woman of the Year at the 2014 Natwest Every Woman Awards’, amongst many other accolades, simply wasn’t enough for Karen Betts. This month, saw Karen launch K.B Pro; her very own range of permanent cosmetics pigments, developed and manufactured in the UK.

It’s no secret Karen is extremely passionate and dedicated to continue evolving and progressing in her career, to offer the most elite treatments and results for her clients, and to also ensure that all permanent cosmetics artists that train through her academies are also providing the best possible treatments and services. So it’s hardly surprising that she worked tirelessly over the last two years to develop, test and refine the pigments. Enlisting the help of her trusty Elite Permanent Cosmetics Artists, Karen’s aim was to ensure the pigments were produced to the highest possible quality and standard, so permanent cosmetics artists and medical tattoo artists around the World could deliver optimum results for their clients.

Not only do the pigments glide into the skin more effortlessly and heal true to colour, they also fade to hues that still appear perfectly natural.

There are currently 12 brow pigments, 11 eyeliner pigments and 5 adjusters available within the range. Karen has also created 4 colour collections; the Vogue Pigment collection (a vibrant eye pigment colour collection), the Back and Grey collection, the Day Brow Pigment collection and the Night Brow Collection, and there is an Adjuster collection available. What more could a permanent cosmetics artist ask for?

Well, there is also a Professional Colour Guide for the pigment range which offers invaluable insight into how to get the best from the range, select pigments, blend and adjust pigments to suit specific client skin tones, and also give in-depth summaries and case studies for each pigment.

The pigment range is now available for professionals to purchase at Nouveau Beauty Group, with introductory promotional offers which are valid for a limited time only, and the colour guide will be available to purchase shortly.

Also, in support of the her new pigment range, Karen has created K.B Pro Education, an educational forum on Facebook which professional cosmetics artists can join to gain more information and insights into the pigments and other products in the K.B Pro range. Through the forum, professionals can also benefit from exclusive advice and support from Karen and her Elite Team of cosmetics artists, alongside industry and educational updates, and professional tips.

Train the Trainer Event A Resounding Success!

Posted by Nadia Burgess on January 10, 2012

Thank you to all our fabulous trainers for attending the Nouveau Beauty Group 2012 ‘Train the Trainer’ event on the 8th/9th January.

Diane and Bridgette did a fantastic job and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time at our Yorkshire Academy. As a company we believe it’s extremely important to keep our Trainers information consistent and up to date, giving them a platform to promote their own ideas on how we can take our products and services forward. 2012 is a real year of growth for the group and our training is going from strength to strength – partly down to our dedicated team of trainers around the country.

The two days consisted of various activities and team building exercises including a three minute presentation from each trainer on either a Nouveau Lashes or LVL Lashes product, a ‘practical’ session working on our brand new ‘Flare Lash’ (more info available soon!) and some live demo’s working with various products and procedures.

Diane Plummer (Group & Training Manager) and Bridgette Softley (Director) gave in-depth presentations over the course of the two days with two of our successful trainers receiving awards;

Steven Douch wins the award for ‘Best Presentation’

Steven is a professional makeup artist and is one of our lead trainers in the area of Mineral Makeup.  With a background in special effects makeup and a freelance career spanning nine years, Steven is a real credit to the Nouveau Beauty Group Training team – congratulations on your award Steven, your presentation was a real success!

Michelle Kendall wins the award for ‘Best Team Player’

Michelle is an elite permanent makeup artist and master lash technician and, as well as running her own beauty salon in Ludlow, is one of our most valued trainers.  “When I was starting out in permanent cosmetics I never thought for a minute I’d end up working alongside the Nouveau Beauty Group, but here I am and I’ve never been happier!”.  Congratulations on winning Best Team Player Michelle.

Following the event, everyone met for an evening meal at the Burntwood Hotel in Brierley.  Great place if you’re looking for quality food in this area. The team bonded really well and we can’t wait for the next one to take place! For more information on our training courses visit http://www.nouveaubeautygroup.com
