Our special invitation to “The Beautiful Ball in aid of the Katie Piper Foundation”

Posted by Nadia Burgess on April 16, 2013

Last Thursday (11th April) PR Coordinator, Lynsey joined Karen and Bridgette in London to attend “My Beautiful Ball 2013 in aid of The Katie Piper Foundation”.  Here is a lovely article from Lynsey about the event, The Katie Piper Foundation and the fabulous work that goes on.

“Having played an instrumental part in setting up Karen’s medical tattoo clinics for the foundation in 2012, I felt honoured to be invited to attend ‘My Beautiful Ball 2013’ in aid of The Katie Piper Foundation.

Katie, as usual, looked stunning and gave a very honest account of how the Foundation and all its supporters really make a significant difference to the lives of those living with burns and scars. I felt very proud of Karen and Bridgette, who work tirelessly to educate people about the difference medical tattooing can make to those living with an altered facial appearance as a result of an accident or illness.

As part of the event, the Foundation played video footage of people they have helped.  Two of these video clips came from women, Karen and Bridgette have recently worked with as part of the work they do for the foundation.

Both Nicole and Tulsi gave a very moving response to their eyebrow treatment, which brought a tear to my eye.   All too often people take for granted features like eyebrows and ask ‘why would anyone want their eyebrows tattooed?’.  Eyebrows make up 70% of our facial features and help us express our emotions so I would advise anyone who asks this question or has thought it to look at this footage.  I personally attended Nicole’s appointment and over the months have followed her journey and watched her confidence and self esteem go from strength to strength.

Simply hearing all the stories of all the patients that attend the foundation and listening to them explain how treatments such as eyebrow restoration and specialist hair systems help aid them psychologically on their road to recovery and enable them to face their everyday tasks is so encouraging and the main reason Nouveau continue to support the foundations vision.

As a company we are truly honoured to be associated with The Katie Piper Foundation and consider Katie a true inspiration, we look forward to helping in as many ways as possible for the foreseeable future.”

Elizabeth Caroline is appointed the UK Ambassador for NBG’s A-Lift Machine

Posted by Nadia Burgess on March 8, 2013

The Nouveau Beauty Group appoints Elizabeth Caroline, Celebrity facialist & spa owner, as the “Independent Skin Care Expert and UK Ambassador” for the ‘A-Lift’ machine.

After completing the initial training to become an “A-Lift” Technician, Elizabeth met with Nouveau Beauty Group’s director, Karen Betts, and has been a key stakeholder with the development of the brand ever since. Elizabeth will act as a spokesperson for the “A-Lift”, but remains independent to the Nouveau Beauty Group.

The new role, created especially for her, will see her acting as the UK ambassador at trade exhibitions such as the “Professional Beauty Show”, (held 24-25 February, at Excel, London), advising other salon owners as to the commercial benefits of owning the machine, as well as running an independent treatment room, within Karen Betts’ Clinic.

Elizabeth says, “Many of my clients are in the public eye, and therefore expect nothing but the best from a facial treatment. The demand has always been that of instant results, in unison with a deep relaxing experience.  I had been searching for a facial machine for almost 5 years, one that was at the forefront of new technology, but that could be adapted to my truly unique Elizabeth Caroline Elementals Facials. Nothing fitted the bill – that was until I discovered the A-Lift.”

Adding, “My passion is to empower both my clients and other professionals with the knowledge that result specific treatments, can work in perfect synergy with a much deeper, holistic approach to skin care.  The A-Lift encompasses everything I believe in, and it is a privilege to be helping Karen and her team to develop some very unique and special treatments within the Nouveau brand.  It’s a truly exciting time for both the consumer and A-Lift therapists.”

Elizabeth has developed a facial called the “Crystal Light Elementals Facial”, which combines her unique, spiritual approach whilst incorporating the use of the “A-Lift” machine; this treatment is currently only available in her Harley Street Clinic.

About Elizabeth Caroline:

Elizabeth, a-one-of-a-kind, and a facialist to the stars, is the owner of “Aquavie Boutique Spa”, Kent, and also sees clients at the prestigious no1 Harley Street clinic, where, amongst other things, she practices her “Elementals” treatments.

In addition to her signature “Elementals” treatments, Elizabeth also offers traditional, clinical facials designed to give a superior aesthetic feel which are more results-based.

To compliment her treatments, Elizabeth has developed a skincare range that can be personalised to suit the individual’s needs, harnessing essential skincare requirements with emotional well-being.

About the A-Lift:

Known as the ultimate non-surgical facelift, benefits include facial toning, facial lifting, skin rehydration, and the treatment of eye bags, lines and wrinkles and scar visibility.

In an advancement from traditional micro-current treatments, the A-Lift uses digitally designed Nano-currents, which work in unparalled harmony with the skin.

Nano-currents work effectively and naturally with the body, boosting the immune system, stimulating cells to act younger, enhancing collagen activity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles, lifting the face and neck muscles.

NBG go to the House of Commons!

Posted by Nadia Burgess on November 7, 2012

On Thursday 8th November our very own PR co-ordinator Lynsey was invited by The RT Hon Jeremy Hunt MP to a key supporter’s luncheon at the House of Commons on behalf of The Katie Piper Foundation. The invitation was a mark of appreciation for the support Karen, Lynsey and the whole team at NBG have shown The Katie Piper Foundation over the past 12 months.

Karen has so far tattooed 6 ladies who live with altered facial appearance as results of burns and scars. Lynsey who has been instrumental in setting this collaboration up has help direct educational footage for use on both the foundation’s website and Karen’s, therefore giving everyone an insight into the benefits of medical tattooing.

Lynsey said of the day “yet again it was an honour to spend time with Katie who has recently been awarded a special recognition award at the Pride of Britain Awards for setting up The Katie Piper Foundation in 2009.Katie and many of the ladies I have met through the foundation are a true inspiration and living proof that scars do not have to limit a person’s function, social inclusion or sense of well being”

Nouveau Beauty Group Sponsors one of the BABTAC & CIBTAC Awards

Posted by Nadia Burgess on June 11, 2012

On Sunday 10th of June the Directors Karen Betts, Bridgette Softley and Nilam Patel from the Nouveau Beauty Group joined forces to celebrate the BABTAC & CIBTAC 35 years in the beauty industry.

This key beauty award ceremony was celebrated by holding a formal black tie dinner and dancing for 150 people in the elegant surroundings of Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington.  In 2012, BABTAC & CIBTAC are still recognised as the premier UK association for beauty and education as well as the longest standing and most influential bodies for beauty and holistic therapies. This annual award ceremony is for the recognition of the best training and accountability in the beauty sector – no matter what job title an individual has and they were proud to announce that this year had a record-breaking amount of entries.

Bridgette Softley, Director of Nouveau Lashes was nominated to present the CIBTAC Award Centre of the Year 2012. The finalists were: Coogin Bergin College Ireland, Elizabeth School of Beauty South Africa and London School of beauty and Makeup England.   The winners were Elizabeth School of Beauty in South Africa. Unfortunately no one from the school was able to personally collect their award but their Principal Elizabeth Landman sent a short and moving video message to say how touch they were to have been chosen.
