Millie Mackintosh launches new Strip Lash Range

Posted by Nadia Burgess on September 18, 2012

Millie Mackintosh, self confessed beauty addict and London’s ultimate glam girl about town, has launched her own range of false lashes.

The Millie Mackintosh for Nouveau Lashes range consists of 8 pairs named after different areas in London.

As a make up artist, Millie knows all the tricks of the beauty trade and has been fully involved in every part of the process in designing her range. The strip lashes are made of natural hair, to give a more natural look so girls can imitate Millie’s minimal and sophisticated style.

Millie Mackintosh says, “It’s no secret that I’m a complete beauty addict, and so designing my own range of lashes was a dream come true. My lashes are unique in that they are 100% natural hair, and the extra mild adhesive means that you can commit the cardinal sin of forgetting to take them off and still wake up looking gorgeous!”

Another unique aspect is that the adhesive is latex free and mild on skin, meaning that you can sleep in your lashes and still wake up looking gorgeous. The quality of the natural hair also enables the lashes to be worn more than once.  Each pair of lashes is named after Millie’s favourite places in London:

…from Shoreditch trend-setters to elegant Mayfair belles, there is a style to suit every girl’s taste!  The brand new Millie Mackintosh range is now available to buy online right here;

Nouveau Lashes Noir Mascara by Nadira V Persaud

Posted by Nadia Burgess on August 9, 2012

I’m very loyal to my mascaras and most of us are once we find one that creates length and volume instantly the pact is confirmed and we return dutifully.  I broke my pact to Nouveau Lashes Noir Mascara!

As a seasoned hayfever sufferer I’ve regularly applauded Noir Mascara for staying fast and smudge-free whilst I sneeze, sniff and itch; when I walk in the rain without cover with no fear my eye make up is looking more like Alice Cooper-esque by the minute. So why did I turn my back on such a reliable essential?

My Noir Masara ran out and I was convinced I could find an equal match with ease that would perform well under rain, shine and teary eyes.

But I discovered the misery of dry, unremarkable lashes that failed to resemble that even, luscious  finish I so wanted to achieve again; especially when I‘d reapply an additional coat for my evening look to find the unwanted spikey look.

I also experienced extraordinary removal habits with some brands in the hope they would melt away seamlessly like Noir Mascara but instead would take an age to remove all traces in the evenings only to find remnants in the mornings, ungraciously staining my lash line.

I can show you why I’ve returned to this trusty cosmetic, the wand; good size, shape, stiff enough bristle to coat each and every lash with the glossy noir formula.

My lashes at the end of a rainy day with only one coat of mascara; still perky and defined…then the ultimate test, the second application…

Nouveau Beauty Group Sponsors one of the BABTAC & CIBTAC Awards

Posted by Nadia Burgess on June 11, 2012

On Sunday 10th of June the Directors Karen Betts, Bridgette Softley and Nilam Patel from the Nouveau Beauty Group joined forces to celebrate the BABTAC & CIBTAC 35 years in the beauty industry.

This key beauty award ceremony was celebrated by holding a formal black tie dinner and dancing for 150 people in the elegant surroundings of Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington.  In 2012, BABTAC & CIBTAC are still recognised as the premier UK association for beauty and education as well as the longest standing and most influential bodies for beauty and holistic therapies. This annual award ceremony is for the recognition of the best training and accountability in the beauty sector – no matter what job title an individual has and they were proud to announce that this year had a record-breaking amount of entries.

Bridgette Softley, Director of Nouveau Lashes was nominated to present the CIBTAC Award Centre of the Year 2012. The finalists were: Coogin Bergin College Ireland, Elizabeth School of Beauty South Africa and London School of beauty and Makeup England.   The winners were Elizabeth School of Beauty in South Africa. Unfortunately no one from the school was able to personally collect their award but their Principal Elizabeth Landman sent a short and moving video message to say how touch they were to have been chosen.

A few more photo’s of the evening can be found by visiting the Nouveau Beauty Group Academy Facebook page – click here.

Celebrity Pamper Day a Success!

Posted by Nadia Burgess on April 23, 2012

Our celeb pamper days are becoming so popular we keep having to add extra dates to our calendar!

The celebs that joined us at our Harley Street clinic had a fantastic time trying out our products and treatments, and it is safe to say they loved the results…we think the fizz and nibbles went down well too!

Jessica Jane Clement (photo left) has fallen in love with her Let’s Go Lashes; she looked gorgeous, and the lashes made her eyes look amazing – so good in fact that Fabulous Magazine took a picture to feature in their next issue. She said on Twitter, “Love my Lets Go Lashes I had done at the NouveauBG Pamper Day, thanks girls and sorry for eating all the cocktail sausages!”.

Our A-lift treatment is fast becoming one of the most sought after age reversal treatments on the market. Both Martin Offiah and Caroline Monk left our Pamper Day looking fantastic and feeling relaxed. They have been raving about A-lift ever since and have already booked in for their next treatment.

We like to spoil people here at the Nouveau Beauty Group so all our celebs left with a box set of Mink lashes and a face mask – Martin has assured us that these were going to his wife!

We almost couldn’t keep up with all the feedback we got on Facebook and Twitter following the event, and now we even have Calum Best booked in for an A-lift!

Thank you to all the celebs that joined us, and all our fabulous technicians who made the day what it was. Here’s to the next one!
